Acquisition Fleur-CD BV / Cas Zwaan by AMEVO BV
As of October 1, 2020, Amevo B.V. from Dronten acquired the company Fleur CD B.V./Cas Zwaan from Rijnsburg. With the acquisition, Amevo B.V. strongest its position in horticulture in the field of tying Orchids and other potted plants.
Fleur CD B.V./Cas Zwaan has a unique position in the horticultural market with the patented CZ Orchid Hooks. “But Cas Zwaan also puts smart products on the market with intermediate holders, self-closing clips and plant pricks that fit perfectly into the Amevo range,” says Folke van Dorp, director of Amevo B.V.
This is in line with Amevo's vision that we would like to offer unique and innovative products to our customers.
After more than 50 years of work, owner and founder Cas Zwaan of Fleur CD B.V./Cas Zwaan thought it was enough. “It is time that I spend more time on the golf course and by the water,” says Cas Zwaan. According to van Dorp, the negotiating talks with Cas Zwaan about the takeover of his company have been the best but also the shortest he has ever had. “To stay in the jargon, there was an immediate click,” says van Dorp. "Then you don't have to talk long, but you'd better get straight to business”.
